SIFC Delegation Meets Secretary Commerce, Industries & Board of Investment GB

A delegation of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) held a meeting with Mr. Shahzaib Sheikh, Secretary Commerce, Industries & Board of Investment, Gilgit-Baltistan. The meeting featured detailed discussions on the proposed Asaan Karobar Bill, Pakistan Business Portal, and other important regulatory reforms aimed at facilitating businesses, improving the ease of doing business, and creating a more conducive environment for investment and economic growth. The participants also deliberated on various measures to streamline regulatory processes, strengthen coordination among relevant government departments, and address challenges faced by the business community and investors. The meeting was attended by Mr. Zameer Abbas, Secretary Information Technology; Mr. Azam Khan, Secretary Food; Mr. Mahmood Ghaznavi, Chief Conservator Forests; Mr. Shahid Ali, Director General Board of Investment; Mr. Inayatullah Sheikh, Deputy Secretary Forests; Mr. Shehzad Shigri, Director Environmental Protection Agency, as well as representatives and office-bearers of various trade bodies and chambers. The participants emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts and regulatory reforms to promote investment, facilitate businesses, and contribute towards sustainable economic development in Gilgit-Baltistan.
